4月29日（本周四）下午16:20，郑智平讲席教授将在第一科研楼报告厅为大家带来《现代科技与家国情怀》特色思政课第二期第七讲——《从化学萃取谈科学家的归属感》，欢迎全校师生前来聆听。

主讲人简介：

郑智平，化学系主任，讲席教授。北京大学学士、硕士，加州大学洛杉矶分校博士，哈佛大学博士后。历任亚利桑那大学化学与生物化学系助理教授、副教授、教授及科研与人事副系主任。曾任厦门大学“闽江学者”讲座教授暨固体表面物理化学国家重点实验室“111引智计划”教授(2006-2012)。长期致力于过渡金属以及稀土元素功能配合物的设计与合成、表征、性质研究以及材料应用，是稀土配位化学及材料领域的国际知名学者与专家。2016年当选为英国皇家化学会会士。

Zheng Zhiping, a Chair Professor, will bring you the 7th lecture of "Modern Technology and Patriotism" at 16:20 on April 29(this Thursday).

The lecture will be located at Auditorium of Research Building 1 . All are welcome!

Speaker:

Zheng Zhiping, is the Dean of Chemistry Department and a Chair Professor. After getting a bachelor and a master degree from Peking University, he got a Ph.D. from University of California, Los Angeles,and carried on postdoctoral in Harvard University. He served as Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, Professor and Associate Dean of Research and Human Resources in the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at the University of Arizona. He used to be the “Minjiang Scholar” Chair Professor of Xiamen University and the “111 Talent Introduction Program” professor of the State Key Laboratory of Physical Chemistry of Solid Surfaces (2006-2012). He has long been committed to the design and synthesis, characterization, property research and material application of transition metals and rare earth element functional complexes. He is an internationally renowned scholar and expert in the field of rare earth coordination chemistry and materials. He was elected as a Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry in 2016.
