5月20日（本周四）下午16:20，程鑫教授将在第一科研楼报告厅为大家带来《现代科技与家国情怀》特色思政课第二期第十讲——《一代材料一代产业，致力新材料研究，服务国家战略需要》，欢迎全校师生前来聆听。

主讲人简介：

程鑫，南方科技大学材料科学与工程系教授。中国科学技术大学学士（1997），美国斯坦福大学硕士（1999），美国密西根大学博士（2005）。曾任教于德克萨斯农工大学，2013年回国工作，加入南方科技大学。曾获美国国家科学基金会职业奖（2011）和美国国防部高等研究计划署青年教授奖（2011），获深圳市政府特殊津贴（2014），入选深圳市鹏城学者（2018）。一直从事半导体材料、器件和微纳加工方向的教学与科研工作。研究方向包括半导体图形化技术、纳米制造、微流控芯片、微机电传感器等。发表论文90余篇，获批中国和美国专利20余项。曾主持国家自然科学基金委重大科研仪器研制项目、广东省重点领域研发专项等政府科研项目10余项，与企业合作研发项目10余项，多个项目以技术成果转移方式孵化创新企业。

Professor Cheng Xin will bring you the 10th lecture of "Modern Technology and Patriotism" at 16:20 on May 20 (this Thursday).

The lecture will be located at Auditorium of Research Building 1 . All are welcome!

Speaker:

Cheng Xin is a professor in the Department of Materials Science and Engineering, Southern University of Science and Technology. He received BS degree in Geochemistry from University of Science and Technology of China in 1997, MS degree in Geochemistry from Stanford University in 1999, and PhD degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor in 2005. He once taught at Texas A&M University. In 2013, he joined Southern University of Science and Technology. He has won the National Science Foundation (NSF) Career Award (2011), the Young Faculty Award of the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) of the US Department of Defense (2011), Shenzhen Municipal Government Special Allowance (2014) and was selected as a Shenzhen Pengcheng Scholar (2018). He has been engaged in the teaching and scientific research of semiconductor materials, devices and micro-nanofabrication. His research involves in semiconductor patterning technology, nanomanufacturing, microfluidic chips, and microelectromechanical sensors. He has published more than 90 papers and awarded more than 20 Chinese and American patents. He has presided over more than 10 government research projects such as the major scientific research instrument development projects of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the special research and development projects in key areas of Guangdong Province, and more than 10 research and development projects in cooperation with industry. Many projects incubate innovative startups through the transfer of technological achievements.
