3月18日（本周四）下午16:20，刘科院士将在第一科研楼报告厅为大家带来《现代科技与家国情怀》特色思政课第二期第三讲——《硅谷的创新文化对提高中国企业创新能力的启示》，欢迎全校师生前来聆听。

主讲人简介：

刘科院士，南方科技大学创新创业学院院长、清洁能源研究院院长、讲席教授，中国与全球化智库常务理事、副主任。

刘科为纽约市立大学化学工程博士，曾在埃克森-美孚、联合技术公司（UTC）和GE等著名跨国公司供职多年。回国后任神华集团北京低碳清洁能源研究所副所长及CTO。2013年被任命为神华研究院副院长，同时任中国工程院院刊《工程》杂志（中英文）编委。曾荣获多项国内外大奖，包括2006年全美绿宝石特别科学奖，2013年国际匹茨堡煤炭转化创新年度奖。先后担任原加州理工学院能源中心董事，国际匹兹堡煤炭大会（PCC）等国际组织和公司的董事。2015年当选为澳大利亚国家工程院外籍院士。

刘科辞去神华研究院副院长后创建深圳瑞科天启公司，旨在全球推广清洁能源技术，促成全球资源合作以降低污染。2015年，刘科当选为卡内基-清华中心理事，全力促进中美之间清洁能源和环保方面的合作。

Liu Ke, a academician, will bring you the 3rd lecture of "Modern Technology and Patriotism" at 16:20 pm on March 18 (this Thursday).

The lecture will be located at Auditorium of Research Building 1 . All are welcome!

Speaker:

Academician Liu Ke, is the Dean of the School of Innovation and Entrepreneurship, Southern University of Science and Technology, the Dean and Chair Professor of the Institute of Clean Energy, as well as the Executive Director and Deputy Director of the China and Globalization Think Tank.

Liu Ke holds a Ph.D. in chemical engineering from the City University of New York. He has worked for many years in well-known multinational companies such as Exxon Mobil, United Technologies Corporation (UTC) and GE. After returning to China, he served as Deputy Director and CTO of Beijing Low-Carbon Clean Energy Research Institute of Shenhua Group. In 2013, he was appointed as the vice president of Shenhua Research Institute, and at the same time served as an editorial board member of Engineering Magazine (Chinese and English), the journal of the Chinese Academy of Engineering. He has won a number of domestic and international awards, including the 2006 National Emerald Special Science Award and the 2013 International Pittsburgh Coal Conversion Innovation Annual Award. He successively served as a director of the former California Institute of Technology Energy Center and a director of international organizations and companies such as the International Pittsburgh Coal Conference (PCC). In 2015, he was elected as a foreign academician of the Australian National Academy of Engineering.

After Liu Ke resigned as the vice president of Shenhua Research Institute, he founded Shenzhen Reco Tianqi Company, aiming to promote clean energy technology globally and promote global resource cooperation to reduce pollution. In 2015, Liu Ke was elected to the Carnegie-Tsinghua Center for Psychological Affairs to promote cooperation between China and the United States in clean energy and environmental protection.
