主讲人简介：

饶海，医学院生物化学系教授。1989年武汉大学本科毕业后，在美国留学、工作31年。2020年底以德克萨斯大学健康中心分子医学系终身正教授离开而全职加入南方科技大学。研究长期致力于蛋白质降解的机理及其在癌症及神经退行性疾病中的作用和应用。实验室擅长传统的生物化学、遗传学、分子细胞生物学，也精通先进的蛋白质组学、高通量筛选等。持续主持美国各级、层次（国家，州，市及私人基金会）20多个基金；回国后，实验室已经获得国自然面上项目、科技部重点专项支持。在Nature，PNAS，J Cell Biol，J. Biol. Chem等期刊发表多篇论文，担任多个国际杂志编委包括知名的JBC、Frontiers in Oncology 等等。

Speaker:

Rao Hai is a professor in the Department of Biochemistry, School of Medicine. After graduating from Wuhan University in 1989, he studied and worked in the United States for 31 years. At the end of 2020, he left as a tenured professor in the Department of Molecular Medicine at the University of Texas Health Center and joined Southern University of Science and Technology full-time. He has long been devoted to research of mechanism of protein degradation and its role and application in cancer and neurodegenerative diseases. His laboratory is good at traditional biochemistry, genetics, molecular and cell biology, and is also proficient in advanced proteomics, high-throughput screening, etc. He presided over more than 20 funds at all levels (national, state, municipal and private foundations) in the United States. After returning to China, his laboratory has received support from the National Natural Science Program and the Ministry of Science and Technology. He has published many papers in journals such as Nature, PNAS, J Cell Biol, and J. Biol. Chem, and served on the editorial board of several international journals including the well-known JBC, Frontiers in Oncology, etc.
